FAQ

1. Where does your url come from?
   → My url name was inspired from Supernatural’s S4E1 “Lazarus Rising” but now extends to pretty much all of my fandoms (because being brought back from the dead is such a popular plot device).

2. How come you have a hyphen in front of your url when tumblr says you can’t?
  → The reason why I have a hyphen before my name is because I was able to change my url before tumblr took down that option. If I were to change my url again, I would not be able to get it back because of the no-hyphen rule.

3. What Program do you use to make your edits/gifs?
  → I use KMPlayer to make caps, and Photoshop CS2ImageReady CS2 to edit.

4. Do you have any tutorials?
  → I made a fairly basic tutorial on how to make gifs once.

5. Do you have the link to this comic or this show?
  → You can find all, if not most, of the masterposts in my downloads tag. If what you’re looking for isn’t there, get back to me and I’ll see what I can do.

6. What do you use to read your comics?
  → I read them with CDisplay

7. How do I open a .rar file?
  → I have winRAR which opens the file for me.

8. Are you open to fic requests?
  → I don’t normally take requests unless I state that I am.

9. Why haven’t you updated this fic yet? When are you going to update your fics?
  → It’s either because I’m busy with real life stuff (i.e, personal things or school) or because I’m suffering from writer’s block and therefore unmotivated. As much as I hate putting things on hold, I can’t help it. I apologize for the wait, but the only thing I can say is I’ll update them when I can. Just please be patient.

10. Can you rec me some fics?
  → Any fanfic recs I’ve made can be found in my fanfic tag, my AO3 bookmarks and my LJ memories

11. Do you mind if I send you my fics to read or check out?
  → I don’t mind at all! I love getting them! Just send me the link via my submit box and I’ll get back to you~

12. Do you have any advice on writing?
  → Considering I’m also a writer that’s still learning too, my only advice is to write something you know or enjoy or even care about. Start out small, free-write, and just let the words flow. Try not to edit so much. The point is to loosen up your mind. And then when you’ve hit a certain length, reread what you’ve written—sometimes an idea might inspire you. I also find that music helps stimulate inspiration or even reading other books or fics by other people may help generate ideas. Plus here are some resources or tips on how you may want to improve your writing.

13. What is your policy on spoilers?
  → It depends. For a TV show or a new comic issue, I usually wait 24 hours (aka the next day) before posting or reblogging graphics/gifs. However, if it’s a movie, I will wait for at least a couple weeks to a month (maybe even longer). But in the event that I do post spoilers, it will be tagged accordingly (i.e, my SPOILERS! tag) so anyone who doesn’t want to see them can avoid them.

14. Why don’t you follow back?
  → I follow quite a lot of people already so keeping track of my dash is already hard as it is.

15. Can I add you on LJ and/or Twitter?
  → Both accounts are friend-locked for a reason. I’m fairly private about my life, so unless I know you from somewhere or we’re friends or I’ve spoken to you a few times, I won’t usually friend back. However, I’ve been known to make an exception every now and then. But I will not accept random adds.
